Duke of Edinburgh

We accept D of E students at either Silver or Gold level awards. We would expect you to find your own transport to and from the site and usually expect that you would carry out 3 to 4 hours of work a week, often at the weekend. As described above, the work is wet and messy but we can guarantee that you will learn a lot about how our site works and most importantly fulfil the criteria for your award level.

Saturday and Sunday are very busy days at Swan Lifeline so we would expect you to take the initiative in carrying out your designated task.

Our staff are always happy to answer any questions you may have and also to give advice and guidance.

We will provide you with all the necessary safety information and suggest that you wear suitable attire as the work is often wet and messy.

We can provide light refreshments but suggest you bring your own drinks and snacks.

Our staff have DBS checks and we are covered by public liability insurance.

We are happy to complete any paperwork needed as proof of your time spent with us.

We would appreciate 24 hours prior notice if you are unable to attend on your chosen day.
